It seems a lifetime ago when at Christmas my wish list wasn't an insult;
I grew up an only child now I'm an only adult,
I want more now, evidently outside the boundaries of reason
Seasons change, yes but friends shouldn't lead them.

I've got these four words down
From the skull they've been in, I'm hoping for meaning and it starts
'Need I remind' on a neat line of blank paper
Where this drunk vapour dried and though beat up I've tried
Making sense of a residue that ends 'you'.

Need I remind you of what he done before I'm left out the loop
When did my errs trump his sins, since when did I say.
